Danke Schön

Thank you very much for everyone who joined in the celebration of Kanik's life this past Saturday. Those who were there know that he would have enjoyed the festivities even if he likely would have felt that we were all a bit too sentimental for his taste. And for those who couldn't make it, CLICK HERE for an amazing video that Ken put together; we'll also work on getting the remarks up online soon.

As was said more than once, let's keep on keeping Kanik a part of who we are and talk about him and his gifts wherever we go. Whether he would have wanted that or not, given his impact on our lives, I don't think we have a choice anyway.

CALLING FOR STORIES

SPECIAL REQUEST

All of us have a favorite KC story, anecdote or memory.
We want you to share whatever you would like so we can put together a piece that encompasses hilarious situations, poignant tales and everything in between.
Please do your best to keep it 200 words or less and to include the date and place, which will allow us to put them in some sort of order.
Send what you can to chungkanik@gmail.com by Friday, February 21st.
Thanks so much in advance for sharing.

Calling for Photos of K's Work

Did you know that Kanik made glass that was striped?

I forgot myself and that is why we are putting on a Kanik retrospective and we need your help.

I am asking if you would please photograph any art that you have that was made by Kanik and send it to chungkanik@gmail.com.

Please pass the word on!

The retrospective has been booked for to run from March 6th to the 28th at Two Trees in DUMBO right above Forager's @ 111 Front Street.

In an effort to highlight Kanik's glass, we are suggesting some guidelines in photographing the glass.  The steps shouldn't take too long.
CLICK HERE FOR PHOTO GUIDELINES AND HELPFUL EXAMPLES

All photographs will be accepted and will be part of his portfolio.  Thank you for your efforts to create a complete record of Kanik's work.  And thank you for your support through these difficult times.  I hope I can be of support to you, too.

Best,
Ling-Fong

PS:  Thank you Carol, Tina, Bea, and Aunty Helen for already completing this task.  Much love and appreciation to you.
