Heading Home This Afternoon

After a successful test, in which the docs looked at his esophagus to identify a possible cause for the low blood count, K then had to have a procedure to avoid any potential badness later on down the road.

(For those who would like more detailed information on what was done, CLICK HERE for details on esophageal varices--it was not a serious bleeding situation but more a preventative measure to "band" the varices to avoid problems in the future.)

He was in the hospital last night to sleep off the grogginess and so the docs could monitor his progress; the plan is for us to break him out of there at 2pm today. He has breakfast company and Adam will arrange for a getaway vehicle to get him home this afternoon.

Another surprise: The West Coast Chung (aka Ling-Fong) has arrived in NYC!

K is hopeful they have identified and fixed the problem so he (and we!) can get back on the training and treatment track soon. You'll know more when there's more to know. For sure.
